Approximately 7 visitors from Silicon Valley will share their personal views on the growth agenda and in particular the barriers to growth they faced when building their businesses.Visitors are to be confirmed but are likely to include: Reid Hoffman, LinkedIn. Megan Smith, Google.org David Hornik (August Capital) Alexandra Wilcon (Gilt Group) Hans-Peter Brondmo (Nokia)

10:00 – 13:30 – CEO workshops at the Forum Centre at IBM Southbank

The aims of these sessions are to: Demonstrate the quality of European entrepreneurs to senior Silicon Valley executives and entrepreneurs, offer insight and thought leadership and stimulate connections and engagement between entrepreneurs and organisations based in the UK and Silicon Valley.

A mix of Early stage, Angel/VC backed and growth stage CEOs from Cleantech and Web companies will come to this event. They have been nominated by peers in the industry and screened by a panel of judges to secure a place at the workshops to receive advice from the visitors. Workshops will consider optimizing available resources, financing for growth and sustaining business growth.

17:30 – 19:00 – The Future of Education, Cambridge University

What will the World of Education look like in 10 years time? This will be a moderated panel with a chair and 5 panellists. Each panelist has been chosen for their expertise in Education and because they are involved in projects that may impact (enormously) the world of education. This event is intended to draw students and faculty from Cambridge and people from across the UK who are interested in what the future of Education is likely to look like.

19:30 – 22:00 – Welcoming Dinner at Cambridge Peterhouse College

The purpose of the dinner is to help improve links between the most entrepreneurial Students and Faculty in the UK and Silicon Valley Serial Entrepreneurs. This is the oldest and many say, the most beautiful college dining room in Cambridge.
